How Minty Path works

Capture it loose. Shape it when it is ready.

Start with a thought, not a perfect system. Minty Path lets the structure emerge, keeps the practical work attached, and asks for Evidence only when something is truly Complete.

The flow

Capture, place, shape, work, prove.

Use only the layer you need now. Every layer can lead back to the branch that gives the work context.

Capture a loose branch

Put a thought in Inbox before deciding where it belongs. Capture it in the app, from the Chrome extension, or through your private Minty Path email address.

Place it when the context becomes clear

Keep the branch loose, add it to a Growth Path without a parent, or connect it beneath an existing branch. Organizing later is a normal part of the workflow.

Shape the Path visually

Use Plan View to move, connect, relate, collapse, and arrange branches. Zoom out into Atlas to see how every Growth Path sits across your wider workspace.

Work from the branch

Open Branch Details to set status or Focus and add Notes, Todos, Aim dates, Deadlines, Reminders, and supporting files without separating action from context.

Let timing stay calm

Use an Aim date for a soft target, a Deadline for a fixed commitment, and a Reminder when Minty should bring the branch back to you.

Complete with Evidence

Record what became real—a result, link, file, screenshot, certificate, feedback, or reflection. An end branch becomes Complete only when it has Evidence.

Share or ask for help when useful

Share a controlled read-only copy, invite a verified reviewer to comment, or ask Path Assistant for help. None of these are required to use the core workspace.

Core ideas

Simple labels, clear jobs.

↟

Growth Path

A visual plan for one goal, project, skill, career direction, or area of life.

A Growth Path gives one subject its own space. Start broad, add branches only when they become useful, and split a branch into another Growth Path when it grows into a project of its own.

◎

Focus

What deserves your attention now—not everything that matters eventually.

Focus is independent from status and dates. Keep it small, usually one to three branches, so it remains a useful decision instead of another label.

≈

Aim date

A soft target for work you would like to reach around a certain date.

When an Aim date passes, Minty Path stays calm. Move it, clear it, or reconsider it without creating a wall of red overdue tasks.

!

Deadline

A fixed commitment with a real consequence if the date is missed.

Use a Deadline for an application closing, exam, launch, client commitment, event, or another date you do not control.

✓

Evidence

Something tangible that shows the work became real.

Evidence can be a finished project, result, link, screenshot, certificate, report, feedback, demonstration, or a clear note showing how you applied what you learned.

☑

Work View

The practical view for end-branch progress, Focus, notes, Todos, dates, Reminders, and Evidence.

Use Work View when you are deciding what to do, capturing context, checking off actions, setting reminders, or recording evidence. Parent branches summarize structure and complete automatically when every end branch beneath them is Complete.

⌘

Plan View

The visual view for understanding and reorganizing the whole structure.

Use Plan View to pan, zoom, arrange, select branches, create relationships, and see how one part of a Growth Path relates to another.

Growth Paths + Atlas

The structure at every scale.

A Growth Path gives one goal, project, skill, career direction, or life area its own visual space. Atlas keeps every Path visible without squeezing them into one enormous map.

  • Start blank, use a searchable template, import supported work, or ask Path Assistant to prepare a proposal.
  • Choose one Primary Path while other Paths remain Active, Paused, Completed, or Archived.
  • Use Plan View for branches and Atlas for the whole workspace.
  • Use Focus when something deserves attention now.
  • Use Aim dates for soft targets and Deadlines for real commitments.

Connected work

The follow-through stays attached.

Inbox, Reminders, Todos, Notes, and Evidence are useful because each can lead back to the branch that explains why the work exists.

  • Inbox holds real loose branches until they have a home.
  • Reminders bring a commitment back at the right moment.
  • Todos show branch actions across the workspace.
  • Notes keep decisions and context nearby.
  • Evidence records demonstrable results in one searchable library.

Path Assistant

One optional conversation, not a workflow dashboard.

Ask a general question or let Minty connect the relevant Growth Path when the request needs workspace context. The same conversation can organize exact Inbox selections, prepare Path or branch changes, and start source-backed Research when you explicitly request it.

Path Assistant uses your configured default provider. Proposed actions are structured, ownership-checked, and reviewed before they apply. Meaningful changes to an existing Path create an automatic recovery backup. Credentials, encrypted Private Details, attachment contents, recovery material, and other users' data stay outside provider context.

Large Paths

Stay readable without starting over.

Plan View and Path Assistant both adapt when a Growth Path becomes large. The visual workspace can collapse, arrange, select, and move structure; full-Path AI review uses resumable sections instead of pretending everything fits into one request.

  • Arrange can rebalance a whole Path or selected branches.
  • Smart Zoom moves between readable detail, folded structure, and Atlas.
  • Select branches supports clear group operations.
  • Connect to changes hierarchy; Relate to creates a cross-link.
  • Undo protects layout experiments.
  • Full-Path analysis works in bounded sections and can resume after interruption.

A light weekly rhythm

Keep the system lighter than the life it supports.

  1. Check the Primary Path and the branches currently in Focus.
  2. Place the loose Inbox branches whose context is now clear.
  3. Choose a small amount of work that genuinely deserves attention.
  4. Check upcoming Reminders, Aim dates, and Deadlines.
  5. Update Todos and Notes where useful; add Evidence when something became real.
